A trained architect without a formal practice, Hua Lin works with natural building materials, fibers, text, and visual documentation.
She often constructs structures and spaces using soft, lightweight materials—many of which are discarded or found in the streets, quietly gathered from the overlooked edges of the everyday. She also manages the independent art space SketchBook.
Her current work focuses on gathering, drawing, building, and living. She values and pays close attention to the quiet lives of islanders—those who live with little, using gentle strength to care for small corners of the world.

Sketchbook
A space created by Hua in a small mountain town in central Taiwan, born from an old house left behind by her grandfather.
This space is a quiet exploration of what it means to be alive, and a the beauty of reading. At its heart are paper publications that trace journeys and wanderings across the Earth. From time to time, it opens its doors for lighthearted gatherings — moments of connection and joy.It also shares gentle words, like paper flowers drifting in the clouds, and collects mysterious, beautiful things along the way.
